IN DUMBO, a new original play by Hadar scholar Nicholas Guastella, a talented actor, playwright and director who currently studies theater at SUNY Purchase, was given an informal reading on Friday, June 4th. The event, which took place at a midtown rehearsal space, was organized by David A. Miller, the Artistic Director of The Artful Conspirators. Hadar scholars Leo Manswell (in the main role), George Keveson and Eric Le participated in the reading, along with the members of the Artful Conspirators theater ensemble.
David A. Miller, a longtime Hadar mentor, is a NYC-based director, playwright, and educator. In addition to leading The Artful Conspirators, he is also Assistant Professor of Theatre (acting, directing and playwriting) at Bloomsburg University and a resident director for Amphibian Stage Productions (Fort Worth, TX).
